SUNDAY TRANSFER RUMORS

I'll start with the least exciting but 'most probable' news:

Arsene Wenger has used this extended interlude between games to travel back to France. And no, it's not to sign the PSG manager's contract like many of the 'red tabs' would have you to believe...

Arsene left London to hold talks regarding the future of 20 year-old Auxerre striker Yaya Sanogo. The powerful 6' 3" striker has been on our radar for a few years now but his acquisition was stalled due to a fractured tibia, the League 2 player bounced back from six months of rehabilitation and is now playing the best football of his career.
And this is a kid who scored 18 in 18 for the French under 16 International squad.

It's believed that Wenger and Sanogo's family agree that Arsenal's the best place to nurture their son's talents.
Pre contract terms for the free-agent are to be negotiated with his family in Paris, hopefully by the time Wenger returns a deal will be agreed to start his training in the summer.

The next on the list is Micah Richards:

That's right, this time it's our turn to ravage Manchester City for one of their stars.

With the imminent departure of Bacary Sagna in the summer, Wenger is already eyeing replacements for the France-bound right back.
If true then City's 24 year-old powerhouse could be a great option for us and would also keep the British-vein prevalent in our young squad.

With a supposed clear-out to take place at Man City it looks like Richards may be on the exit-list, the right backs return from a knee injury has hindered his starting place in Mancini's squad.

If pursued, Ricahrds would cost around £12-14 million and the prospect of first-team football in London could be quite appealing to the young lad from Birmingham.

Last on the list is Real Madrid hit-man Gonzalo Higuain:

The Argentine striker is considered one of the worlds best marksmen but has fallen short to the impressive form of Karim Benzema, who was also on Arsenal's hit-list for last season.

The 'special one' (Jose Mourinho) kept Benzema sidelined when Higuan was firing from all cylinders and now that Karim has proved himself Mourinho has opted to rotate the strikers.

I think Mourinho just has 'quality problems' in the form of too many good players, he doesn't need to sell. Why would he?
The 25 year-old has scored 9 goals in 17 games this season so his form is actually better than Benzema who has 7 goals in 21 games.
But If the reports are true, the Bernabeu star is upset with Jose's rotation policy and wants to be playing at a club where he'll start every game which is understandable for a player of his caliber.

If Madrid agree to let him go, Higuain could be up for grabs at around £22 million and has stated that England is his next destination of choice.
