AFC TARGET 'WILL' PLAY IN THE EPL NEXT SEASON

Christian Eriksen is reported by an 'Ajax club official' to be heading to Britain this summer for around £15-20 million.

The 21 year-old Danish International has refused to sign a new contract with the Dutch club and is also garnishing heavy interest from Man U, Liverpool, Tottenham and AC Milan.

The attacking midfielder is the spine of the Ajax attack and the Danish player of the year will definitely be missed in Holland.
Reluctant as Ajax are to sell, they also know with Eriksen being such hot commodity, they can demand top-dollar for a player of his caliber and potential.

The young Dane has mentioned that a move to Barcelona may be better suited at this stage in his career.
Eriksen's qualms with the 'tough' EPL has been echo'd by Danish boss Morten Olsen, who believes Christian would do better steering clear of the British shores for a few more years:

MO - "It's too early for him to move to the Premier League and play so many games at that level. Not everybody can play so many games with the strength the Premier League demands".

Christian voiced his own worries concerning the best league in the World after playing England in an International friendly back in February of 2011:

CE - "It's a tough league, I could see from tonight that if you go past them, they want to split you in two!"

Yes they do Christian, but that's why they get paid the big bucks!

Dennis Bergkamp turned Wenger and our scouts on to Eriksen a few years back, we may now be gearing toward a strong bid for the player in the coming months.
It will be a good test of Wenger's tenacity in the transfer market with all the funds we have at our disposal, especially if all the interest from other teams is true? And why shouldn't it be?

If the likes of Bergkamp and ex-Ajax boss Martin Jol are singing the young boy's praises then I believe it's a good indication of his ability.

Jol has compared Eriksen to both Wesley Sneijder and Rafael Van Der Vaart, meanwhile the entire Danish population believe they have Michael Laudrup 2.0 on their hands which is a hefty comparison to carry on anyones shoulders.

Interesting times ahead!
