BAD NEWS FOR JACK AND POLDI

It looks like we'll be missing the support of both Jack Wilshire and Lukas Podolski for Wednesday's crucial CL game in Munich.

Both players are a serious doubt with prolonged ankle injuries. Despite the 10 day break between games, both players have been unable to shake-off their problems.

Wilshire picked up his knock during the 'game we shall not mention' and Lukas has been nursing his niggling problem for a while now. This could be why Lukas is basically used as a fringe player who comes on after half time as an impact-sub?

This is devastating news, and that's sugarcoating it!

Jack has been instrumental since coming back from injury and Lukas may be the only player who really knows how the German's function. Podolski of course scored our only goal in the 3-1 home defeat to the German's.

One strand of positivity is that Kieran Gibbs looks like he'll make the squad who travel to Germany, Gibsy has been sidelined for the past 7 games with a thigh injury. Welcome back!
