The Verminator is back.
Wenger has officially stated in the clubs website that Thomas V has passed a fitness test for Blackburn Rovers on Saturday in the FA Cup 5th round tie.
AW: “He is looking quite good and is possibly back for Saturday. He should be in the squad.”
Although Jack Wilshere's thigh injury is still a bit of an issue and he is unlikely to play on Saturday.
Not too bothered by this news as unless we are totally bombing, I think it's more important to have him fit for the Champions League on Tuesday.
AW: "He is having tests today [Thursday] and tomorrow. He is looking better. He is still a doubt for Saturday. He’s got a kick on the thigh,”
And athough Laurent Koscielny's calf injury looked promising there seems to have been a minor set back which makes him look doubtful too.
AW: “That is a problem. He has a test today and tomorrow exactly like Wilshere,” said the Frenchman.
When asked to comment on the entire squad, he replied:
AW: “Ramsey is alright. Sagna is alright. Jenkinson is suspended. DIaby is available again and all the other players are alright. We have two short-term problems, with Koscielny and Wilshere, while Gibbs is out. That is it.”
I'm sure there will be a few changes before Saturday.
Will keep you posted...
