SPURS BEAT CITY, WANT EX-GUNNER

It's that strange time of the year you find yourself rooting for many of the teams you hate.
When Nasri scored the opener against City this morning I couldn't help but romance the perfect insult to the Spurs faithful.

Little did I expect Tottenham to come back and score three in 7 minutes and kill off the tie at 3-1 and see themselves in 5th.

INSULT TO INJURY?

For me - not so much, as reports come out that Spurs are considering move for ex-Arsenal midfielder Alex Song.

The Barcelona man is reportedly unhappy at the Catalan club which goes to prove that the grass at the top isn't always greener.
Song apparently wants a move back to the Emirates and I commend Wenger for rightfully turning down.

AW: "My personal advice for him would be to give it another go and after two seasons he can still make a decision."

The Cameroonian DM was seriously waning toward the end of his Arsenal stint, I got the impression he was suffering from a case of the 'untouchables' - he was so comfortable verging on lazy that he believed he wouldn't be replaced,  Thomas Vermaelen woke up to this reality and is yet to retain the form we know he's capable of.

Goes back to that question of dressing room psychology...
