GIROUD OUT FOR THE SEASON
The FA have stood by Andre Marriner's decision which means we'll be without Olivier Giroud for the last three games of the season.
The Frenchman's foul on Stanislav Manolev resulted in his marching orders and his claim to the FA for 'wrongful dismissal' was today rejected meaning - Podolski through the middle!
Wishful thinking
Prince Poldi has only featured as a bit-part substitute despite amassing 14 goals and 10 assists in all competitions this season.
Wenger's reluctance to play the proven International with the best assist record in the PL has been a mystery to Gooners far and wide.
Giroud's three match ban could be a blessing in disguise. Despite a fairly promising first season he's beginning to frustrate in a Gervinho-esque manner of late. Squandered chances have been all too common this season and with Giroud's recent series of blunders, one begs the question of where we'd be in the table had we been able to finnish the ball?
Hindsight is twenty twenty 'n all that.
It now looks like Wenger will be forced to include Podolski and hopefully he'll try the German upfront. With Walcott and The Ox suppling the pace on the wings and Santi pushing through the middle we should have a pretty menacing forward line, the answer to this season-long issue could have been staring us in the face since game one.
